Lockdown, other measures still in force, says Enugu govt

The Enugu State government has said all measures and regulations it put in place to control the spread of COVID-19 are still in force.

With the number of case jumping from four to eight, the government, which slightly relaxed its restriction of movement, on Monday said the previous measures remained until further notice.

A statement by Information Commissioner Chidi Aroh reads: “It is pertinent to emphasise that all inter-state boundaries remain closed, as earlier directed, except for medical emergencies and movement of essential goods and services.

“Furthermore, the presidential directive on the compulsory use of face masks or covering in public and the overnight curfew from 8 p.m to 6 a.m takes effect immediately…”
