Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly Bamidele Oleyelogun, on Tuesday distributed foodstuffs to 3,000 Muslims in Ifedore Local Government Area of the state and all security personnel at the assembly complex.
The items distributed included rice, beans and vegetable oil.
A statement by Oleyelogun’s Special Adviser on Media,Joshua Ojoawo, said that the gesture would also give relief to the Muslims, who were observing the Ramadan as well as to the security operatives, whose profession involved a lot of risks.

He urged the beneficiaries to always abide by the precautionary measures ordered by the state government and other authorities.
Oleyelogun noted that with the cooperation and collaboration of all, Nigeria would soon overcome the pandemic and it would become a thing of the past.
Some of the communities that benefitted from the gesture of the speaker are: Igbara-Oke, Isarun, Ero, Ilara and Ajibamidele.
