Four doctors test positive for Coronavirus in Bauchi

No fewer than four doctors in Bauchi state have so far tested positive for coronavirus.

Six other health workers have suffered the same fate as the pandemic ravages.

This was disclosed by the Executive Chairman of the Bauchi State Primary Health Care Development Agency (BASPHCDA), Dr. Rilwan Mohammed, while giving a situation update on the pandemic at the Government House, Bauchi, the state capital on Wednesday.

He said: ”So many doctors and nurses are getting infected in that area and their families are also infected and we have to follow their families up.

”The health workers who have tested positive include “four doctors, six other health workers including some nurses.

Some of them are in Bauchi while some are in Azare but we have a higher number of them in the Azare zone.”

Nation reports the total number of confirmed cases in the state has risen to 83 with 77 active cases while six have been discharged so far.
