All Progressives Congress (APC) Chieftain, Uche Nwosu, has lauded the appointment of Ibrahim Gambari as the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari as deserving.

Nwosu noted that the appointment of the renowned diplomat can be beat described as a round peg in a round hole, adding that his wealth of experience will rejig the nation’s foreign policy thrust.

According to Nwosu, the choice of Gambari, underscores the President’s penchant for merit and service delivery with no emphasis of political sentiments.

In his words, “the appointment of Ibrahim Gambari as the Chief of Staff to the President is a most welcome development. He will surely bring his experience as a seasoned diplomat to bear in the country’s foreign policy and Nigeria will be better for it”.

Nwosu however advised the new Chief of Staff to avoid distractions and what he called banana peels, adding that he will enjoy the goodwill of Nigerians who are not in doubt of his capabilities.

“My advice to him is that he should avoid banana peels and concentrate on delivering on the mandate of his office in line with the President Muhammadu Buhari’s next level agenda”, he stated.
