A coalition of youth leaders in Akwa Ibom State have warned individuals and groups to desist from victimising the Niger Delta Affairs minister, Senator Godswill Akpabio over the forensic audit of the Niger Delta Developmemt Commission (NDDC).
The youths under the aegis of Coalition of Village Youth Leaders in a statement issued to our correspondent on Wednesday maintained that the forensic audit ordered by President Muhammadu Buhari was in order.
They also called on Buhari to reign on members of the National Assembly, some groups and individuals in the Niger Delta to stop moves and calls for Akpabio’s removal as Niger Delta Affairs minister.

The statement signed by the group’s president, Mr. Godwin Peter supported Akpabio for working with Buhari to give a new face to the Niger Delta region in the quest to unravel the bottlenecks and corruption that wrecked the NDDC over the years.
“We are undivided in our support for Akpabio because of his uncommon achievements so far in the Niger Delta Ministry, ranging from the near completion of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) headquarters in Port Harcourt, and most importantly, the ongoing move to sanitize the entire system/region through the ongoing forensic audit, which shall expose and clear off “stumbling blocks” to development of the region as was the basic reason for creating the Commission,” the statement said.
