Kogi govt reaffirms its support to APPEALS project

Kogi State government has reaffirmed its support to the Agro-Processing, Productivity Enhancement and Livelihood Support (APPEALS) Project in the state.

Kogi State Deputy Governor and Chairman, State Steering Committee For APPEALS project in the State, Chief Edward Onoja, disclosed this when he joined the Project Implementation Staff during the Annual Work Plan and Budget implementation review meeting at Lokoja.

Chief Onoja underscored the importance of the review meeting to the effective implementation of the project in the state.

He urged that the 2020 Annual Work plan should conform with the provisions of the Project Appraisal document and the Project Implementation manual.

The deputy governor noted that APPEALS project is a worthy programme that is creating a paradigm shift in the state agric sector

He reiterated the state government’s support towards the Successful Implementation of the project in the state.

In his remarks, the state commissioner of Agriculture Mr. David Apeh, noted that the Ministry will provide the necessary support to ensure the effective implementation of APPEALS project in the state.

Earlier, the State Project Coordinator, Dr. Sanni Abdullahi Ozomata said that the purpose of the review meeting was to ensure that the state coordination office come up with strategies that will aid the effective implementation of the Year 2020 Annual Work Plan.
