The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra(IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu and his deputy, Uche Mefor are not on war path over Kanu’s broadcast against some pastors, the body has stated

Kanu had taken a stand on pastors who he accused were only interested in tithes and offerings instead of condemning the killings in the country.

“They so- called men of God are afraid because they are not sure of what they are preaching. Instead all they are concerned about is tithes and offerings.

“The problem with the churches in Nigeria is that you steal money, and you kept quiet. You don’t condemn the killings in Nigeria,” he stated.

It was gathered Mefor considered the statement as misguided and overzealous.

He however clarified he was not referring to Kanu but to religious bigots.

Reacting, the IPOB Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful told the Nation on Thursday that there was no crack in the leadership as speculated.

“We are having a general debate about religion which is normal because in Biafra all subjects are open to debate.

“Uche is having debate with some people because of our leader’s broadcast concerning pastors in Nigeria. Our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and Uche Mefor has no problem,” he stated.
