FG takes delivery of 40,000 PPEs, others from China

THE Federal Government on Friday received Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) as donation from  China to further strengthen the fight against COVID-19.

The PPEs came at a time frontline health workers have been crying for the equipment  to protect them from undue exposure to the deadly virus.

Health Minister, Osagie Ehanire, received the medical supplies on behalf of the Federal Government from the China Chamber of Commerce in Nigeria.

The items include: 40,000 disposable masks, 1,500 disposable medical protective suits  and 1 ‘Infra Red’ thermal imaging thermometer unit.

Representatives of the Chinese Chamber were – Tristan, Director General (DG) of the Chinese Chamber and Kelvin Yang of Huawei Technologies Co. NIG. LTD.
