APC Appeal Committee clears 12 for Ondo primary

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship nomination Screening Appeal Committee for Ondo Primary Election on Wednesday night cleared all the twelve aspirants for the July 20 election.

The Tijjani Tumsa led 9-man Committee had on Friday cleared all but one of the 12 aspirants.

The committee did not reveal the disqualied aspirant.

The party’s Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Yekini Nabeba, in a statement in Abuja, said the appeal committee has submitted its report to the Governor Mai Mala Buni-led APC Caretaker/Extra-ordinary National Convention Planning Committee.

Nabena said the APC Committee cleared all the twelve aspirants to contest the party’s primary.

The aspirants cleared are Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu; Amb. Olusola Iji; Odimayo John; Olayide Adelami; Kekemeke Isaacs and Olusola Oke.

Others are Ifeoluwa Oyedele; Mrs. Olajumoke Anifowoshe; Awodeyi Akinola; Adetula Olarogba;  Dr. Abraham Olusegun and Dr. Nathaniel O. Adojutelegan

The primary election is scheduled for July 20 while the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed October 10 for the governorship election.
