No fewer than 40 people, who committed environmental offences, have been tried by the Oyo State Environmental Tribunal.

While some were sanctioned for indiscriminate dumping of refuse and lack of proof of registration with authorised waste collectors, others were sanctioned for contravening laws restricting movement of persons during sanitation hours.
