NO fewer than 296 Nigerians stranded in the United Kingdom (UK) have been evacuated on Saturday.
The evacuees, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, departed Gatwick Airport, London, at about 1.38pm.
The Air Peace flight is expected to land at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja later, Saturday.

“296 returnees from the UK departed Gatwick Airport, London to Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja today, August 15, 2020 at 1.38 pm aboard Air Peace Flight No. P47801 operated by Air Europa Flight No AEA962,” said a terse statement from Sarah Sanda, Media aide to the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
