Islamic body to engage Almajarai

The Islamic Education Trust (IET), Nurul Islam and Aminu Musa Abdulsalam (AMA) Foundation at the weekend jointly launched the pilot phase of Almajarai vocational training programme.

This partnership according to a statement by the Communication Officer, IET, Suleiman Murkthar, was to ensure sustainable solutions to issue of Almajirai children in Northern Nigeria.

Mukhtar said that the intervention was aimed at developing a culturally and religiously sensitive educational programme which could rapidly enhance the potential and capacity of the Almajarai youth for a vocational career.
