Nsukka Journalists Foundation (NJF), is to confer an Award of Grand Patron to the Executive Governor of Enugu State, Rt.Hon Dr Lawrence Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, at its Annual General Meeting, coming up in Nsukka on October 2,2020.
A news statement, jointly signed by the Chairman Planning Committe for the meeting, Obinwa Nnaji and the Secretary of the committee, Dr Ike Ugbor, said the over 100- member strong body of the NJF, unanimously agreed to honor the Governor at this year’s meeting.
The statement disclosed that the Governor who becomes the first to be so decorated, in the three-year annals of NJF, would declare the auspicious conference open.

Thereafter, it said there would be a formal General Elections to elect new officers to run the affairs of NJF.
Hitherto, the Executive had been in acting capacity pending a formal legitimization of officers through Elections.
The Electoral body headed by renowned broadcaster and radio administrator, Aka Eze Aka, has been working round the clock, to have a hitch free Elections.
The Nsukka Journalists Foundation, is populated by very seasoned and reputable journalists both male and female, teachers of Journalism in the universities and tertiary institutions, both those in active professional practice and the retired.
