Flood: Emirate Association calls for action in Jigawa

The Hadejia Emirate Development Association (HEDA) in Jigawa State has called on the federal and state governments to develop a plan to end perennial flooding in the eight local government areas, which had caused the loss of lives and property valued at billions of naira.

Addressing reporters at the Maimuna Millennium Park Hadejia, the Chairman of HEDA Abdullah Kafinta, expressed concern over the government’s failure to find lasting solutions to the menace.

The body criticised the government for not doing enough to combat the perennial flooding in Hadejia local government area of Jigawa State.
