The suspension of Emir of Misau, Alhaji Ahmed Suleiman, has been lifted.

He was suspended after a farmers/herders clash, which claimed 11 persons in his domain.

The lifting of the suspension was contained in a letter by Secretary to the State Government, Sabiu Mohammed Baba.

This means he can resume headship of the Misau Emirate made up of Misau and Dambam local government areas.

While receiving the letter, the Emir reiterated his loyalty to the State Government as he assured of peaceful coexistence in his domain.

The Nation had reported the Emir was suspended about four months ago in the wake of farmers, herders clash over grazing land.

The clash was over ownership of land in the surrounding settlement where herders are located and had been grazing for several years.

A panel set up to investigate the clash had indicted the Emir while he warned and made to apologise before being recalled to the throne.
