Olumide Aderinokun rejigs political ambition

Olumide Aderinokun, one of Ogun State’s few genuine grassroots politicians and philanthropists, has come under serious pressure to join the race for the Ogun Central Senate race come 2023. Though 2023 might seem a bit far, politicians across various political platforms are already planning and plotting ahead of the next electioneering process.

According to sources knowledgeable about the inner workings and activities of the Ogun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olumide’s name had been bandied around by some of the party’s stakeholders as a viable option to reclaim the PDP’s glory in Ogun State. Interestingly, a huge number of people in Olumide’s senatorial district share the party’s sentiments. They believe that the successful realtor has done enough to win the trust of the people in his senatorial district.

The constituents made a quick reference to Olumide’s kindness during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic. The unassuming politician reached out to over six thousand households in his senatorial with relief packages to ease the agony of the then lockdown. Aside from his philanthropic heart, many of the people in Ogun Central believe that Olumide represents a paradigm shift in the scheme of things in Ogun Central politics.

Affable and cosmopolitan, Olumide is said to be a man with the magic wand who has successfully built for himself a company rated as one of the big names in the real estate industry. Described as a man of many parts, Olumide has his hands in quite many businesses to support his philanthropic activities. Aside his real estate company, Olumide is the head honcho at Foxy BDC. Also, he is a big player in the poultry business which he runs under the brand known as Adeona Farming Ltd in the Ofada area of Ogun State. He is also into an online retail business called  dumota.com  reputed for its integrity and professionalism. With investments running into millions of naira, largely located in his home state, Olumide has demonstrated his love for the development of his community and its people.
