Parties warming up to participate in the coming by-election to be conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), for Bakori State Constituency in Katsina State, on Wednesday held a sensitisation workshop on COVID-19 protocols for stakeholders.
The Chairman, Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC), Katsina State chapter, Alhaji Ibrahim Mai-Angwan, described the workshop as not only timely, but also a design to ginger rural mobilisation and awareness on the dreaded pandemic, as well as the expected protocols that should be observed during the conduct of the by-election in Bakori.

He said: ’’The engagement of a wide range of stakeholders, including party chairmen from the local government level, women leaders and health care delivery specialists, was aimed at turning out a well enlightened population that can return to their localities to extend same awareness level to their communities.’’
The representative of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, Dr. Mawuya Aliyu, alerted the public to the renewed global surge of the pandemic, and warned against being caught off guard by the new wave.
