Thirteen persons have been killed in a road accident along Kutugi-Bida road in Niger state.
Twelve others sustained various degrees of injuries.
Those who died in the crash include three female adults and eight male adults.
The crash occurred when a commercial bus with registration ZUR 690XA heading to Lagos had a head-on collision with a Daf trailer with registration FUN272XA returning from Lagos after Panti village along Kutigi-Bida road.

FRSC Public Relations Officer (PRO) Niger Command, Raji Egigogo, said the probable causes of the crash were fatigue, overspeeding and overloading.
He said that the injured were taken to the Federal Medical Centre Bida and the General hospital Kutigi while the dead have been deposited at the General Hospital morgue, Kutigi.
