The Supreme Head, Cherubim & Seraphim Unification Church Worldwide, Dr Solomon Alao has urged the federal government to urgently address insecurity in the country.

Speaking at a press briefing on Monday, the church leader explained that the current security situation of the nation was becoming unbearable.

“The insecurity in the land is becoming worrisome by the day. The wanton destruction of lives and properties by insurgents and Boko Haram members calls for urgent review of our security architecture,” he said.

Citing the herders/farmers clash, he further called on government to ban open grazing noting that in civilised climes cattle are not allowed to graze uncontrollably.

The cleric also appealed for the suspension of the National Identity Number (NIN) enrollment until the curve of the Coronavirus pandemic has been flattened.

He noted that failure to extend the NIN registration deadline would not only  lead to a high rate of COVID-19 cases but render many citizens whose source of income are tied to their SIM cards jobless.
