Boko Haram kills three as Service Chiefs visit Maiduguri

Barely few hours after the New Service Chiefs left Maiduguri on an operational visit, some suspected Boko Haram members launched an attack on a military base and a police check-point in Borno State that left three persons dead.

The attack, according to some security sources, left one police officer dead and two Civilian JTF operatives dead.

It was gathered an unspecified number of people were also abducted.

A soldiers, who does not want his name in print,said the insurgents evaded  Maiduguri village along Magumeri road where they wrecked the havoc.

A civilian JTF source said the insurgents stationed three gun trucks between Chabol and Magumeri and launched a rocket launcher at a military base and the police checkpoint.

The victims were reported to have died immediately.
