Legislative institute orders compulsory test for workers

The National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS) has conducted compulsory coronavirus tests for its workers.

This is just as the institute also embarked on the disinfection of its office buildings located at Maitama District, Abuja according to a statement from its Information and Communication Unit in Abuja.

The statement reads: “Dr Kabir Ahmed, Director Administration and Human Resources, in a memo dated 3rd February, 2021, directed that staff of the Institute are to undergo compulsory COVID-19 test, so as to ensure their health and safety.

“As of the time of this release, all the staff complied and awaiting their results.

“The Director General of the Institute, Prof.  Abubakar O. Sulaiman said the measure was part of the institute’s resolve to ensure the safety of staff as the National Assembly resumes full legislative activities on Tuesday.”
