Kwara State Panel of Inquiry on #EndSARS protest, headed by Justice Tunde Garba (rtd), has submitted its report to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
The governor promised to set up an implementation committee on the panel’s recommendations.
A petitioner, Mr Teslim Ibitoye, yesterday appeared before the Osun State Panel of Inquiry investigating police brutality and extrajudicial killings to narrate how he allegedly sustained bullet injuries and his brother was allegedly killed by the police in 2017.
He alleged that he was shot three times by the police, while his younger brother, Akeem Olakunle Ibitoye, who sustained injury, died immediately.
The deceased’s wife, Kafayat, urged the panel to prevail on the police to release the body of her husband withheld and kept in a morgue since 2017.
