Minister for Water Resources, Engr. Adamu Suleiman said on Tuesday that Nigerians should take the issue of the Corona Virus (COVID-19) disease seriously as nobody was immune to the disease.

The Minister who spoke through zoom at the flag-off of the National Youth Volunteer Programme on Clean up Nigeria campaign said Ministers are not immune, saying he was currently recovering from treatment as a result of the COVID-19 infection.

Engr. Suleiman said “the issue of COVID-19 is a very serious and critical issue and our people must not take it lightly. The volunteers should pass this message. We as Ministers are not immune to the pandemic.

“The reason why I am not with you physically today is because I am still recovering from treatment on account of COVID-19 infection. We thank God that I am doing very well. It is a living testimony to all others that nobody is immune.

“The high and mighty; the high and low; the big and the small, everybody is vulnerable. We should work hard to ensure that we present this disease in our communities. Keep all the protocols and when the time comes to take the vaccine, please do not hesitate to do so.”
