A rice farmer in Ogbese, Akure North local Amaka Okafor, has been allegedly attacked by hoodlums suspected to be herdsmen.

Amaka was reportedly attacked with a cutlass by her assailants while she was working on her farm

She sustained injuries on her head and hands and is receiving treatment at a private hospital.

Senior Special Assistant to Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu on Agriculture, Akin Olotu, confirmed the attack in a WhatsApp message.

He said the victim was responding to treatment in the hospital.
