The National President of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Kolade Alabi, yesterday felicitated with Christians on the Easter celebration.

Alabi, in a statement issued in Abuja, urged Christian faithful to be joyful irrespective of their challenges.

He urged to celebrate moderately and adhere to the COVID-19 protocols.

He said: “No doubt, the resurrection is at the core of belief of all Christians. Without it, the faith professed is meaningless. ALGON hereby identify with you all at these inspiring and uplifting moments in hope of new life and fresh starts.

“Let me remind us all to be joyful this time of the year no matter our obvious difficulties and challenges… It is my prayer that God will prevail with domestic peace, protect our collective interest for unity and development.”

Alabi said the association would continue to seek better service delivery through democratically elected council chairmen.
