Lagos State Head of Service (HOS) Mr. Hakeem Muri-Okunola has assured public servants of continuous welfare packages, training and career progression, as top priorities of the government.

He said this is necessary to motivate the workforce towards effective and efficient service delivery to Lagosians.

Muri-Okunola, presenting his scorecard at the Year 2021 Ministerial Press Briefing, in commemoration of the second year in office of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration, said the current administration acknowledged the impact of public servants and their response in ensuring that the Office of the Head of Service delivered on its mandate towards the T.H.E.M.E.S. Agenda.

He said the Office of the Head of Service has provided leadership and direction for public servants, just as it plays advisory role to the government, adding that it facilitates appointments, promotions, postings and deployment of permanent secretaries, as well as chief executives of agencies in the Ministries, Department and Agencies.

The HOS said during the period under review and to ensure that there was reduction in housing deficit, the Sanwo-Olu administration provided soft loans, through the means of housing loan subvention, adding that his office, through the Staff Housing Board, received N408,100,000.00 yearly loan subvention from the governor and it had been disbursed to 2,097 beneficiaries.
