The head of Araromi village, Chief Tafa Apanpa, and his wife have been abducted in Bakatari, Iddo local government area of Oyo State by unknown gunmen.

Sources said the gunmen took away the Baale and his wife on Tuesday.

Police spokesman Adewale Osifeso confirmed the incident, saying there were efforts to release the captives.
