LAGOS State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu yesterday signed three bills into law.
The laws are – Lagos State Independent National Electoral Commission Law 2021; Lagos State Sports Commission Law and the Lagos State House of Assembly Commission Service Commission Law.
He hailed members of the House of Assembly for their cooperation and for the speedy amendment of the laws.
According to the governor, the laws are to make life easy for residents and give them more opportunities.
He praised the Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa, for deeming it necessary to lead his colleagues to come up with robust laws.
The LASIEC law will give the governor the power to extend the tenure of commission members by six months so its activities will not be disrupted.
