Gunmen suspected to be herders have shot dead an expectant mother and abducted her husband in Offa, Kwara State.

The incident which occurred on Saturday on Ojoku Road, it was gathered, happened about 7pm while the kidnapped husband was driving his father-in-law, his wife and others home.

The woman reportedly died on the spot.

When contacted, spokesperson of the Kwara state police command, Ajayi Okasanmi, confirmed the incident.

He said the command “is working hard to get the kidnapped victim rescued.”
