The winner of Saturday’s governorship primary election of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State, Senator Andy Uba has promised the people of the state five-star governance they would be proud of.
Acknowledging that it would be taxing to achieve such feat, he called for maximum support from party members and indeed the citizens of the state.
Addressing reporters in his campaign office in Awka, the former Senator who represented Anambra South Senatorial District appreciated all party faithful for the confidence reposed in him. He extended the olive branch to his opponents in the election.
He assured the people of his preparedness to build a strong movement that would guarantee victory for the party in the November 6 governorship polls. He said: “There are a whole lot of things that needed to be fixed in the state. I’ll usher in all-inclusive governance and will bridge the inequality gap in the administration of the state.

“Though the road to fix Anambra State is not going to be an easy way to travel, with the support of the APC faithful and, indeed, Ndi Anambra, I will give the state five-star governance everyone would be proud of.
The Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun had, on Sunday, declared Uba as the winner of the primary election with a total of 230,201 votes to defeat 13 other aspirants.
In the exercise, Azuka Okwuosa got 17,159 votes, Johnbosco Onunkwo polled 28,746 votes, Paul Orajiaka garnered 4,248 votes, Ben Etiaba scored 4,244 votes while Conel Onyejegbu polled 3,414 votes.
Maxwell Okoye got 2,540 votes, Chido Nwankwo 21,281 votes, George Moghalu 18,596 votes, Amobi Nwokafor 3,335 votes, Ikeobasi Mokelu 3,727 votes, Edozie Mmad? 3,626 votes, Hygers Ifeanyi 1,466 votes while Godwin Okonkwo got 5,907 votes.
