Two suspected armed robbers were shot dead on Tuesday by security operatives in Delta State.

The suspects were operating on a tricycle when they gunned down about 8:30pm near 316 Express, Ekete in Udu council area.

Sources claimed they were trying to rob a car owner when people noticed and alerted operatives.

Police spokesman Bright Edafe said it was the combined effort of the police, vigilantes and civil defence operatives that resulted in the killing of the robbery suspects.
