Ten young talented footballers are to benefit from a sponsorship programme to club sides in Europe for screening and eventual signing after scaling through the hurdles.

The sponsorship programme is spearheaded by a sports philanthropist, Ambassador Yohanna Margif, in an event that took place in Jos  where he was honoured with an award as the patron of Nigeria Eagles Supporters Club.

Margif announced the donation of two buses, one for the supporters club, while the other is for the band club.

He also announced the establishment of a football academy in Jos, adding  that arrangements have already been concluded for the smooth take-off of the academy.

According to him, he has sponsored many sportsmen and women spanning over 25 years  across the country, stressing that he will continue to do his best to develop sports in the country.

President of the Nigerian Eagles Supporters Club, Sunny Gullong, appreciated Margif for his youth empowerment programmes, saying that his contribution to social justice for the emancipation of humanity is highly appreciated.

Responding on behalf of the players, Yohanna Isaac Yilpwan said they will justify the confidence repose on them and will not let the sponsor, their supporters and the other well-wishers down.
