We write to apologise for the wrong use of an Overland picture with our report on Saturday July 24, 2021 titled “Passengers escape as plane crashes in Ilorin” in our Online edition.
It was a mistake that was corrected as quickly as we realised it. Our intention was never to cast Overland in any negative light.
We removed the picture immediately we published the story but many apps and sites, which have replicated the report couldn’t rectify the error even after we have corrected it from our end.
We hold Overland in the highest esteem and will never attempt to denigrate the organisation.
The error is regretted.
