Hamzat to deliver lecture

The deputy governor of Lagos State, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat will be delivering this year’s anniversary lecture of elitist Lagos Country Club on Tuesday, August 3, to commemorate the club’s 72nd anniversary, which will be preceded by Jumat prayer at the Central Mosque, Alausa, Ikeja and thanksgiving service at the Archbishop Vining Memorial Cathedral Church, Ikeja today.

Addressing journalists in his Office in Ikeja, the president of the Club, Arc. Funmi Bamkole, said the topic of the lecture was instructive in today’s Nigeria because good governance is germane to developments in all sectors of the economy.

Bamkole stated that as a responsible and foremost family club, the topic ‘Good Governance’ is significant, not just as members of Lagos Country Club, but as Nigerians.

He added that good governance is the engine that drives a nation towards a good direction and this is the time to put Nigeria back on track, having experienced contraction from the complexities of COVID 19″.

He revealed that Dr. Hamzat was a perfect choice for the lecture because of his pedigree and achievements in government and the private sector.
