The President, American University of Nigeria, Margee Ensign has said the university would continue to provide free education for children affected by conflicts, especially in the North.
Ensign, who spoke with reporters in Abuja at the weekend, said Nigeria can’t lose any kids who run the streets because “who knows where the next leader of your country is?”
She said: “We have a large group of students who were kidnapped at Chibok. We will continue with this work (free education) because to sit with those Chibok women (don’t ever you say Chibok girls) because these are strong women, is a reminder of how education can change not just a life, but a community and your country.
