Okon eyes win against Hasaacas Ladies

Head Coach of Rivers Angels FC, Edwin Okon said today’s WAFU B zonal final between his side and Hasaacas Ladies FC of Ghana is all for pride as they hope to maintain their one hundred percent record at the championship.

The Nigerian representative for the maiden edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League in Egypt have recorded three wins in as many matches, conceding a lone goal while scoring twelve in the process.

Today’s encounter will produce an overall winner from the WAFU B zone, a title Okon isn’t going to let slip off his hands.

“Firstly, I want to thank God for bringing us this far in this competition,” he began. “Yes we’ve gotten the qualification we all wanted to and happy with how we achieved this feat.”

“What we’re playing for right now is for pride and the players and coaching crew are all aware of this.

“We don’t intend to be complacent in tomorrow’s game because we know Nigerians want us to win this so we’re poised on flying the country’s flag very high,” Okon added.

Today’s game will kick-off at 7pm Nigerian time.
