The Managing Director of Schoolsmart Online Science and Mathematics Service, Mr. Sanni Adedokun has urged the Federal Government to support academic excellence that would improve quality of education in the country.
Adedokun stressed the need for federal, state, local governments to support every aspect pertaining to improvement of academic excellence more than any other industry to enhance the quality of education.
He made the appeal during the presentation of gifts to winners of 2021 Schoolsmart Competition Edition in Ota, Ogun State.
The competition was organised in collaboration with Vono Furniture Products Ltd.
According to Adedokun, the organisers decided to make the competition online due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, saying motive behind it was to prepare the students ahead of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

At the end of the contest, St. Benedict Genius Garden Schools, came first, Jacob Model International Schools, took second position, while Ambassador International Schools, took third position, while N50,000, N30,000 and N20,000 were given to the winners respectively.
In his remarks, Operations Manager, Vono Furniture Products Ltd, Mr. Raji Shina, said they decided to collaborate with Schoolsmart Online Services, as a way of giving back to the society.
Shina said: “It is our little way of investing in our children because they are the leaders of tomorrow.”
The overall winner of the competition, Lateef Badmus, a student of St. Benedict Genius Garden Schools, who spoke on behalf of the others two runners up said he was delighted to come first in the competition.
