Former Director of Finance of the defunct Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF) Alhaji Hassan Mu’azu is dead.
Mu’azu died in the early hours of Monday in Kaduna after a protracted illness.
He was 83.
His son, Ibrahim, who confirmed to The Nation, said his father had been bed ridden for long.
According to him: “My father died at Garkuwa Hospital after he was rushed to the hospital following his deteriorating condition.
“When we observed that he was finding difficulty to breath on Sunday around 11pm, we immediately took him to the hospital at and was put on oxygen.

“He was beginning to respond with some elements of recovery until past 5am when we got a call that he has given the ghost.”
The deceased worked with NNDC, Kaduna State Government as Accountant General and was later chairman, Board of Internal Revenue before his last appointment with PTF.
Late Mu’azu, who has since been buried at the Ungwar Sarki cemetery according to Islamic injunctions, is survived by four children, brothers and sisters.
