About 40,000 farmers in Lagos will get relief materials to be distributed by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), acting Coordinator, Ibrahim Farinloye said yesterday.
He said the relief materials which comprise fertilisers and other farming necessities were for distribution to farmers affected by flooding, other disasters across the country.
Farinloye was speaking during the inauguration of inter-agency technical committee on emergency and disaster management organised by the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA).
He said the state office had begun receiving the items from the headquarters and would commence distribution to identified and registered farmers located at Epe, Badagry, Ojo and Ikorodu areas of the state.
