Akwa Ibom State has taken delivery of 63,336 doses of Modena COVID-19 vaccine amid a spike in active cases at 796.
Secretary to the State Government and Chairman of its Akwa Ibom State COVID-19 Committee Emmanuel Ekuwem, on Thursday, said the state was ready for vaccination of residents.

Ekuwem encouraged people to get vaccinated, adding that the state would ensure compliance with guidelines.
The government, which issued a one-hour maximum duration approval for religious gatherings, warned that businesses, worship places and corporate organisations risk shut down if they failed to comply with the directives.
