The Zamfara State government has received 65,982 doses of the Moderna vaccine for the second phase of vaccinations.
A representative of the Federal Government, Dr Namadi Lawal, said Zamfara was rated second in the federation during the first exercise.
He expressed hope that the state would surpass its performance in the second phase.

He advised the people who had already taken the AstraZeneca vaccine during the first phase, not to take the Moderna vaccine, saying that their second dosages will come later.
Similarly, he urged the state government to provide solar power systems at the store, to prevent power outages, as the vaccines can only be preserved under an intensive cooling system.
Speaker, Zamfara State House of Assembly, Alhaji Nasiru Magarya, assured of the state government’s commitment to diligently administer the vaccines to achieve more success.
