A lawmaker representing Amuwo Odofin Constituency I in Lagos State House of Assembly, Mojisolaoluwa Alli-Macaulay, has called for an aggressive sensitisation to curb drug abuse among youths.
She spoke yesterday at the annual constituency stakeholders’ meeting held simultaneously across the 40 constituencies in the state, on the need to address drug abuse.

Speaking about the theme of the event, “Increasing Wave of Drug Abuse: A Threat to Nation Building,” the legislator said the event was aimed at sensitising residents, teachers, students, religious organisations, professional bodies, academia, civil society organisations, community leaders, as well as individuals on the disturbing trend of drug abuse in the society and the danger it portended for youths.
She said the government is putting measures in place to address drug abuse
and advised people on the need to contribute their quota to fight the menace, to save youths and make them productive.
