Founder and Leader of Living Christ Mission Inc, Most Rev. Prof. Daddy Hezekiah, has cautioned critics of late Prophet T.B Joshua, founder of the Synagogue of All Nations (SCOAN) against casting aspersions on him.
He said although the late preacher had his challenges as human, denigrating him, particularly at death was uncalled for.
Fielding questions from newsmen at the 37th Anniversary of the Temple Mothers of the church, the cleric noted it was more worrisome when men of God were involved in such criticisms.
He insisted the deceased should be allowed to rest, having affected many lives who he said, would miss him greatly.
He said: “Many men of God criticised him so much even after his death. They said many things about him. I’m not going to say whether he was a true or false prophet.
“But one thing I know is that he was a human being. He had his own followers and admirers. He had people he helped. Now the man is dead, we should allow him to rest instead of he did this or did that.
“To me, they’re not necessary. He had a family and I believe very strongly that man really helped so many people. Many temptations came his way, especially when his synagogue collapsed and many people died. Now the man just passed on like that.

“I’ll encourage all other men of God to stop calling him names. I know some people will say I’m his fan but I believe in saying what God wants me to say. No matter what, death is death. Since he’s gone, it’s a great loss to his family, the church and his admirers.”
The Prelate, who is also the Proprietor and Chancellor, Hezekiah University Umudi, Imo State, further frowned at what he described as disconnect between President Muhammadu Buhari and Nigerians, saying such gap was capable of destabilising the nation.
“Absence of a leader distabliszes the country. Everyone will be doing whatever they like. But assuming he is reachable, people would have lodged their complaints.
“I’ll love a day Buhari will appear before everyone. We’re tired of only seeing his picture and hearing his voice. As the head of state, we’ll like to know where he is. Personally, I’ll like to shake hands with him,” he added.
“When a mother dresses indecently, spreads rumours and gossips, she has derailed from being a helpmate. God-fearing mothers should encourage their husbands and children to be useful in church and to avoid idleness and confusion.”
