The CEO of the popular jewellery brand, Delphi Metals, Awe Olutayo has avowed that he is not in the market just to beef up the numbers of jewellers.
Olutayo said that although there are a huge number jewelers but Delphi is known for quality and affordability.
“Generally, our goal is providing affordable Luxury Fashion accessories to our clients,” he asserted.
He made the claim recently while answering
questions about the inspiration behind the name of the high-end jewellery brand, which he attributed to his knowledge of both computer programming and precious stones.
“Delphi is the name of a computer programming language, in fact, one of my favourite programming languages; I loved the name so much that when I needed to start up a jewellery brand, without a second thought, I just went for Delphi Metals, the metals being the jewellery,” he explained.
Speaking further, he also debunked the notion that Delphi Metals is an overnight success. Said he: “As of this year, 2019, I have been in the jewellery industry for about eight years even though I started my own company four years ago.”
Continued, Awe explained: “In the first four years of my journey, I studied jewellery designing and the concept of mining gold; I studied diamonds, silver and every other kind of metals and precious stones, their composition, the process of refining and making them into jewels and even the art of selling. So, I had to learn the business and market until I was fully equipped.”
On why he then focused mostly on luxury rings despite his prodigious knowledge and versatility, Awe avowed: “I decided to focus on the bridal industry because everything bridal signifies love, engagement and commitment; more so, at Delphi Metals, we are committed to our clients’ happiness by helping put smiles on their faces.”
Nonetheless, at Delphi Metals, he avowed, “have expanded our range to include necklaces, pendants, tiara’s, earrings, bracelets, and other luxury accessories.”
