A police sergeant has been arrested and detained in Anambra for alleged involvement in cult activities.
The police command also confirmed the killing of three youths on Sunday in Awka, the state capital.
The arrested sergeant was said to be giving out guns to cult members
Three or four persons are killed daily in Awka.

Police spokesman Ikenga Tochukwu confirmed the arrest of the sergeant yesterday, saying, “The attention of the Anambra Police Command has been drawn to a story trending on the social media alleging the involvement of a police sergeant in the illegal supply of arms and ammunition to a criminal gang in Awka.
“The police sergeant has been identified and is already in custody for questioning.
“The Command assures that the outcome of investigations into the case will be made public,” he said.
