Ex-AGF Aondoakaa promises youth-inclusive governance

A governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Chief Michael Aondoakaa (SAN) has promised to open up the political space for inclusive governance that puts the youth at the centre stage.

Chief Aondoakaa, who made the promise while speaking as the chairman at the Benue APC Youths Summit held in Makurdi said no country, can exist without the full participation of the youth, adding that the youth constitute the energy of APC as a party. He noted that the most visionary leaders and heroes in the past such as J S Tarka, Ahmadu Bello, Tafawa Balewa, Harbert Macaulay, Nnandi Azikiwe and Obafemi Awolowo all started their leadership journey as youths and were able to provide stability and development in the country.

Represented by Mr Terwase Akume, Chief Aondoakaa expressed his commitment to work with the leader of the party Senator George Akume and other stakeholders to give youths opportunity to be elected into positions of authority. He urged the youth to get prepard because his administration would allow them to mount leadership positions as nation-builders and take up roles that will ensure relevance, effectiveness, visibility and sustainability.
