Boko Haram frees protocol officer, four months after

Yobe State protocol officer Ali Shehu Mai Lalle has been released after close to four months in Boko Haram captivity.

“Our man Mai Lale is now safe in the hands of his family,” a source told The Nation.

The source also disclosed that Mai Lale was released along with his friend Mustapha who was abducted along with him on Maiduguri/Damaturu Road on July 24 this year.

There were indications that a heavy ransom was paid to secure the duo’s freedom but no family member, friends ot associates could give that information to the press.

Mai Lalle and Mustapha were abducted alongside two other soldiers who were executed two days after.
