Buhari has done more for Benue than any administration – APC chieftain

Benue

An All Progress Congress (APC) chieftain in Benue State, Abua Yaji, popularly called ‘Crucial’ has said the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari has done more development projects in the state than any other administration since the country’s return to democracy.

Abua, a former Chairman of Gboko Local Government Area (LGA), pointed out road construction projects in the three senatorial zones and the completion of Loko Bridge across River Benue between Nasarawa and Benue as some of the Buhari administration’s legacy projects in the state.

Speaking at an APC rally in Gboko, he dismissed the impression that Buhari, being Fulani, hates Benue people, describing it as the handiwork of mischievous politicians.

During the campaign, Abua visited an APC governorship aspirant Tersoo Mark Hanmation, who formally declared his 2023 governorship ambition before Jemgbah Youths.

Hon Abua said that come 2023, APC would take over Benue State and urged the youths to remain resolute in their support for the party.

He said the APC had learned from its mistake in 2019 when it lost power to the PDP in Benue.

Responding, Hanmation addressed Jemgbah youths, urging them to brace up for the challenge ahead and take up leadership positions.

“We, the youths, will ask the elders to stay at home in 2023 and send us to go and take up leadership challenges so that we can look after them.

“2023 belongs to the youths; I advise you to position yourself for the challenge; you can see from the APC primaries in the state, from the chairman to the last office is all occupied by the youths.”
