No fewer than 68 persons have been abducted from Zazzaga community in Munya council of Niger State.
Sources said the gunmen invaded the community on Tuesday night, taking the residents unawares.
One person was killed in the assault, it was said.
Four businessmen were abducted in Tegina, Rafi council of the state barely 48 hours before the Tuesday attack.
A source told the reporter on the phone that the bandits went from house to house, adding that four persons were shot.
A lot of people got injured while trying to escape, the source said.
Munya council Secretary, James Isaac Jagaban, said one person was killed, adding that four others were being treated in hospital for gunshot wounds.

He said the gunmen had not contacted anyone on the incident.
A community leader, Isah Munya who spoke to The Nation said they were not safe, asking the federal and state governments to end the attacks.
The Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) have demanded the immediate release of 12 of its members working with the Zaria Local Government who were kidnapped on November 8.
The union, which decried the silence of the Kaduna State government since their abduction, said the abductors have asked for N40 million as ransom.
National President of NULGE, Akeem Olatunji, who briefed reporters in Abuja, warned that the union would take drastic action if their plea for the release of the workers fell on deaf ears.
