The Criterion, an association of Muslim women in business and professions, will hold its 2nd International and 11th Biennial Conference at Imam Maliki College Jegede Olunloyo, Ibadan, Oyo State capital.
The opening will be held tomorrow at the University of Ibadan Central Mosque Event Hall.
National Ameerah of The Criterion, Hajia Fatimah Yewande Oyefeso, said the conference was an avenue to discuss the challenges bedevilling women in the society and proffer possible solutions.
According to her, the theme of the conference ‘The new Realities Roles and Challenges of Muslim Women’ was apt due to the trending issues in the society regarding abuse and inequality treatment on Muslim women.
Prof Hafiz Oladosu, Prof Teslim Ayobami Ahmed and Dr. Muritala Kewuyemi Kareem are speakers.
The Sultan of Sokoto/President-General Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Alhaji Muhammad Saad Abubakar will be the special guests.
